Nieuws: Oudoor pics Shinari concept
31 augustus 2010

I can't get enough! What a stunning looking car! Autoblog.com was at the presentation at Milan and made some great pictures of the Shinari concept car. They also made a nice story with even some more details about this car.

I write this in English because I know a lot of people outside The Netherlands will be looking at this too. Even the people who work at Mazda! For more wallpapers and information you have click on the link below.

All I hope is that Mazda will have the guts to translate this 'Kudo' design on the new models like we all hoped they would do with Nagare. Instead they put some Nagare cues on a model that looked a lot like the previous Mazda3 and the new Mazda5 is nothing more than the current (literally!) Mazda5 but with Nagare styling. Also the dated 626 Wagon like taillights on the midi-MPV (as we call it here in Europe) were a big turn off. The technology is there to make more modern head- and taillights! Just like Mazda shown on several concept cars and also on the Shinari that has some Audi influences in the inside of the units. And please Mazda, I know rear foglights are just an Europe thing but it would be nice of you take into account that asymmetric taillights are just horrible.

Of course I know the Shinari concept is just a concept. I know the regulations and stuff when it comes to safety and stuff like that. The A- and B-pillars can't make it into production like it is now and I'm sure the mirrors (well, camera's) and doorhandles won't make it either but I think I can speak for a lot of car enthusiasts that the base design of the Shinari isn't something to ignore and I'm sure Mazda won't do that. As long as you don't change the grille too much because it looks great. With slighty different proportions and more rounded edges it will look again like a grin that most people don't really appreciate. The sharp wheelarches are a good looking evolution of the ones on the RX-8 and that just have to make it into production!

The whole idea of the interior is a good one too. The gauges looks so stunning! Don't change that too much! Maybe I should stop 'talking'. I just have to put my convidence in Mazda this time. I'm sure you learned your lesson about the latest Mazda's. Some looked good but here in Europe it didn't catched on. It is great that Mazda is doing well in Japan, Australië, Isreal, Iceland, Mexico, Colombia, Canada but now its also Europe's turn. With a great Kudo design, better looking and feeling interiors and some more modern engines and transmissions I'm sure it will turn out just fine..
